Re-fighting Battle of Dresden 1813

We will be re-fighting the Battle of Dresden 1813 starting on wed the 23rd sept.

The Battle of Dresden Germany 26–27 August 1813.
Marshal Saint-Cyr’s corps was ordered to fortify and hold Dresden as a possible base for Napoleon manoeuvres.

The plan of the Sixth Coalition, Austrians, Russians and Prussians under Field Marshal Schwartzenberg. Was to avoid battle with Napoleon himself, choosing to attack his subordinate commanders instead. This resulted in to victories for the coalition against Marshal Oudinot and MacDonald. As part of this strategy the coalition attacked Saint-Cyr in Dresden. Unfortunately Napoleon arrived quickly and unexpectedly with reinforcements resulting in a French victory.
